About Me
My journey into health and wellness has been as personal as it is professional. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, I've worn many hats—from a United States Navy corpsman in the field of Afghanistan to an IV infusion manager in functional medicine, and as a primary care provider for aging adults. My commitment to compassionate care is rooted in a diverse background that began in the military, where, in hindsight, the exposure to toxins first sparked my awareness of environmental impacts on health.
Transitioning to civilian life, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent time as a medical-surgical RN. The pandemic was a catalyst for further education, leading me to become an Adult Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Alongside this, I completed training to become a certified Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP) health coach and Functional Blood Chemistry Analyst. I’m passionate about guiding clients to wellness beyond medications, grounded in the pillars of foundational wellness, healthy living, and optimal health. My role here at Healing Masters is to help you understand what your bloodwork is saying about your health from a functional medicine and optimal health perspective.
My personal battles with mental health post-military service, compounded by the loss of my mother to cancer and supporting my wife and partner, Sarah, through her own health challenges, reshaped my view of healthcare. These experiences were profound teachers, demonstrating the complexities of healing from conditions like environmental toxicities, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), Lyme disease, mold illness, and parasitic infections—areas often misunderstood and completely ignored in mainstream U.S. healthcare.
Adopting a lifestyle aligned with Sarah's, experiencing the transformative power of cleanses, and diving into alternative practices like herbal and quantum healing, I've seen firsthand the profound impact of adopting a low-toxin, low-stress life. These revelations have not only improved my own health but have become the cornerstones of my career.
My mission now is more than a profession; it's a calling. I aim to help others uncover the answers they need, restore their health balance, and preempt the unnecessary progression of illness. Through Healing Masters, I'm dedicated to empowering individuals with the natural wellness knowledge and tools they need to chart their own path to vibrant health.
